Rural School as a Factor of the Area's Development. The author discusses the role of a village school as a social energy centre for the local community and the source of its potential development. On the example of the ecotourism and awareness project in Valdai National Park, including development of the auxiliary infrastructure, the contribution shows one of the prospects for rehabilitation of the socio-economic situation in a rural area.
